Junk (2008-08-21)
Bought this to give it a try, worked quite well to start with and synched with my computer then after a day it failed dont waste your money, zero support from the manufacturer.
One star is generous. (2008-08-16)
I just bought (on a whim) one of these from Wal*mart tonight. Yes, I had two Palm PDAs for several years, and when the last one died, I thought I'd just get along with a paper calendar. I'm looking for another PDA!! Anyway, got my little Royal ezVue home, found some batteries (fresh, too) and installed them. It wouldn't power on. I traded batteries. It still won't power on. Then I thought I'd check reviews here on Amazon, and, well, I'm just gonna return it tomorrow and get my money back. Apparently, even when it works, it doesn't work very well.
Cheap. (2008-05-14)
I thought this was a great idea for an organizer. All I really need is a calendar and address book. I'm on a computer all day and I have an internet tablet for vacation travel, so I don't need another PDA. My tablet doesn't have a program for snail mail addresses, so I wanted something small and convenient for a quick check. I also liked the idea of a keyboard built in.
Sadly, this one hasn't been too good. There's not enough room for international addresses, and the screen has slowly started to fade on me. There are blank spots, and as time goes on it's getting harder and harder to read. I'm wondering if it's a low battery, but if that's the case then that means the batteries don't last as long as they do in my old Sharp organizer.
PDA Good, Software Bad (2008-02-08)
The PDA works well and has plenty of features. I like that the key board slides inside to make it more compact for traveling. The screen is easy to read and touch screen works well.
The syncronization software is very glichy and does not work well with Windows XP. I had to disconet all peripheral devices reboot many times and get an additional fix from the help line to get it working.
This is a piece of junk. (2008-01-11)
I normally do not write bad reviews and I have reviewed several products on Amazon, but this thing sucks. My husband and I are relatively intelligent people. He is an IT specialist and the problems that we had with our units, I can assure were through no fault of our own (although I would love to take the blame). We bought two of these as cheap replace our old Palm Pilots and sync our busy schedules. Initially, I could get past the fact that I was afraid that the AAA batteries would crack the flimsy plastic casing, but the software is another story. It is absolutely horrendous! If you want to sync the unit with you pc be prepared to try at least 10 times. To make matters worse, you cannot use the unit itself nor the software it came with to schedule a recurring appointment. If you wish to schedule a recurring appointment, you must use Outlook. This begs the question, why develop or include software in the first place? My husband and I each bought one of these and ended up returning them!
Don't waste your money or your time.
