Like other BoxWave products the Designio really keeps your PDA well protected and gives it a nice professional look.
The leather is high quality, it feels nice to hold. The TX fits perfectly into the case, it is a good tight fit that doesn't let the TX slip off.
When closed the only accessible features are the on/off button, the earphone jack, and the pen slot. While open you get access to the charger and hotsync slot and the main buttons. You get access to the case's own slots for SD cards and credit cards. It could almost be used as a wallet if the slots were a little bigger.
The clip on works well if you don't move a lot. I wouldn't risk using it for anything else besides standing in the same place or walking short distances. I use the TX a lot to listen to audiobooks, so the earphone jack hole comes in handy when I use it with the clip-on, but I have to be aware of abrupt movements. When you go so sit down, especially getting in a vehicle you will almost always lose the TX from your belt.

I have a Palm TX OS Garnet v5.4. I researched palm cases for hours. I was hesitant to order this one bc the reviews on it were inconsistent. However, it fits and protects my palm awesomely and looks classy.
Best case for TX (2008-04-29)
I have used palms for at least 10 years. In the past 5, my palm has become a "crutch" for me that I depend on and use constantly. I have upgraded since I found out how useful they could be to me (not for work, but for personal use). I went from Zire up to Tungsten and now just bought a new Palm TX from Amazon.
Since I carry it with me daily, I want more than just these cargo pants with extra pockets to carry it in. I have bought various cases, even some made for other things. There are a lot of them out there these days for cell phones, cameras, iPods etc. I have looked widely and tried carefully to find one that fits my personal needs. This one does that and more. I have even tried taking other cases apart andusing the best parts of each one to create the right one. I was ready to give up, and I read a the reviews on this case (from Amazon and other vendors)and they were right on target. They were right about:

> and for me the most important part was the quality of the clip to wear it attached to my belt or clipped on to my pants waist line. The clip is removable from the case, so (as others said) you can lie your encased Palm flat on a table and not know there is a place to attach the clip to. BUT, the clip is sturdy, and attaches to the case very tightly; I have no doubts about the integrity of the connection of the clip to the case or to my belt or slacks.

And the Palm TX is the BEST one I've ever seen. It's almost like a small laptop PC with the WiFi and Bluetooth connections that work so easily. I was looking at more expensive HP iPaq handheld computers, but was afraid of not getting the Palm OS personal management group (calendar, contacts, tasks, memos, etc.) and could have gone to a Windows based version of Palm using Outlook, but I didn't have to.Palm TX Handheld
Classy looking case that fits my Palm TX Perfectly (2008-04-09)
I recently bought a new Palm TX and needed a case for it. I looked at several types including the hard aluminum cases and ultimately I decided upon this one. I can not be more pleased with it!
Out of the box, I was impressed with the quality of the stitching, the feel of the leather, the magnetic snap of the latch closure, and the velour lining on the inside was a sophisticated touch! I couldn't wait to put my new pda inside it!
The fit was very snug which gives it that protected feeling. I'm sure it will loosen up a bit after awhile since it is leather so a tight fit now is a good thing. I'm not too worried about it getting loose in time because I don't foresee a reason for me to take my palm out of this case often. Like the other reviewers have said, every port one needs to access is readily available with the case on!
There was another case on amazon I was looking at that is basically the same style except it didn't have the headphone jack cutout as this case has. That was a requirement of mine when picking out a case since I could use it to listen to music with the padded rigid cover snapped on to protect my pda!
The vertical flip style is really nice and like another reviewer had written, when you flip it open and relatch the magnetic closure, you form a loop to slide your hand through and lessen the stress of holding your Palm TX and it does feel more secure in my hand that way!
Those hard cases are obviously going to be more protective but the leather case does offer a good amount of protection all around AND is stylish and classy looking, not to mention it's not so slippery out of my hand. I'm sure this leather case will wear more beautifully than any aluminum case too but everyone's got their own preference.
If you're looking for a case for your Palm TX, I highly recommend this beautiful case. I am careful with my devices but judging the craftsmanship of this case, I'm sure it will last for years to come! I'm happy with my purchase, it's sooooo nice!! And it's not super bulky to fit into my purse either, I love it...well worth the money spent in my opinion!
